Welcome to Rebel Performance, a fitness studio unlike any other. Our journey began over 10 years ago (together -but over 20+ years experience) when husband and wife, Matt and Erin, discovered shared passion for empowering others through strength training and fostering a sense of community. Together they ventured on a mission to create a space that goes far beyond just a gym all while focusing on results and progress for YOU.

Erin

Empowering Health and Strength

Meet Erin Tusa-Thatcher, a Rebel coach, strength coach, and health coach. With a focus on empowering clients to take control of their health, Erin's unique framework stems from her own all-or-nothing relationship with food and significant weight loss transformation. She understands the emotional and physical needs of her clients and helps them achieve their goals.


Her personal experience with chronic pain has given Erin empathy and compassion, driving her to help clients gain strength effectively and safely. Erin is on a mission to dismantle diet culture with an "INSIDE OUT" approach to movement and nutrition, sharing her knowledge through the @healthinguelph_podcast.

Don

Get Moving and Feel Great!

Don, a passionate personal trainer and coach, focuses on helping clients feel good while getting active. His approach emphasizes the importance of daily actions and the post-workout feeling, making exercise a mental and physical challenge. Don's journey began as a registered kinesiologist, and he transitioned to personal training to help people move better and become stronger for life.



His training philosophy combines proper movement, power, and speed while maintaining form and technique. Don's goal is to boost his clients' confidence and enjoyment in their favorite activities, fostering a sustainable fitness journey.

Matt

Matt Thatcher, a co-owner at Rebel Performance, boasts over 12 years of experience in the fitness and health industry. He has worked with elite athletes and everyday individuals, emphasizing a holistic approach to health that includes movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and community.



Matt believes health and fitness should be inclusive, enriching lives and empowering everyone. As a co-owner of Rebel Performance, he creates an environment where clients can thrive and achieve their health goals, from peak performance to pain-free living. Together, Erin Tusa-Thatcher, Don, and Matt form the foundation of Rebel Performance, where empathy and expertise drive clients toward a healthier and stronger life.
